The Senior FSS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) program and assists the Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) clients with developing and attaining self-sufficiency and homeownership goals.


•Recruit and enroll HCV (Section 8) or other special voucher program participants in the FSS program.

•Provide assessment services, client referral, comprehensive case management, and supportive services.

•Interview applicant and conduct initial needs assessments to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and development needs.

• Develop written client service plans and monitor progress to ensure the success of the participants.

•Assist Coordinators with the client’s quarterly progress reports.

•Counsel FSS program participants regarding program procedures, rules, and regulations.

•Work collaboratively with community resources to identify resources for FSS participants.

•Calculate escrow account credits and monitor client escrow balances.

•Conduct audit reviews of regular calculation processes like recertification and change in income.

•Conduct escrow review and final goals or requirements for graduation.

•Make recommendations for the use of escrow funds, donations, and grant funds.

•Assure HUD regulations are followed and perform all duties by HABC policies.

•Promote positive customer relations.

•Perform other duties as assigned.
